Monday of the 2nd Week of Lent

Readings:

  • First Reading: Daniel 9:4b–10

  • Psalm: 79(78):8–9, 11, 13

  • Gospel: Luke 6:36–38

Reflection
The prophet Daniel pleads for divine mercy, acknowledging the people’s unfaithfulness. Similarly, Jesus invites us to be merciful as the Father is merciful, so we do not fall into unnecessary judgment. In this Lenten season, let us remember that the measure we use for others will be used for us. The call is clear: practice compassion, forgiveness, and generosity.
