Planning Your Visit
When visiting the Cathedral Basilica during the week or weekend (outside of Mass times), please enter through the Rectory on 89 Ridge Street.
SCHEDULE
The Cathedral Basilica is open for visiting and private prayer during the following times:
Mondays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesdays - Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (please call ahead as there are weddings on Saturdays)
Sunday Masses: 8:30 AM- 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM *Cathedral doors close at 2:00
Please note the Cathedral is closed for lunch from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) and 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (Friday - Saturday).
Please enter through 89 Ridge Street (Rectory Entrance).
Please note that the church will be temporarily closed to the public if there is a private event (e.g., Wedding Mass, Funeral, etc.). Thank you for your consideration! Please call in advance at 973-484-4600 to ensure that the Cathedral is not closed for a private event.
TOURS
First Sunday of the Month, following the 12 Noon Mass. Those interested can meet near the pulpit after Mass.
Guided group tours are available on weekdays by appointment for groups of 10 or more, typically beginning after 11:00 AM. Tours are scheduled based on the Cathedral Basilica's and the tour guide's availability. Please call to schedule at least two weeks in advance.
