Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord

Readings:

  • First Reading: Acts 10:34a, 37–43

  • Psalm: 118(117):1–2, 16–17, 22–23

  • Second Reading: Colossians 3:1–4 (or 1 Corinthians 5:6b–8)

  • Gospel: John 20:1–9 (or Luke 24:1–12; or Mark 16:1–7, depending on the Easter Vigil)

Reflection
Through Jesus’ Resurrection, death has been conquered. The empty tomb proclaims that the final word is life, not death. Easter is the foundation of our faith and the source of our joy. Celebrate:

  • The triumph of light over darkness.

  • The passage from the slavery of sin to the freedom of God’s children.

Embrace the Easter joy by sharing the good news: “The Lord is truly risen!” (Luke 24:34).
