In my field of criminal justice, a thought leader who studied how people reformed their lives found that often it was a single person or single event that started their transformation. She called these things, “hooks for change.”…Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of negative media images surrounding me…What is the hook that draws us deeply into our faith.

Bonita Veysey, Ph.D. is a Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University-Newark. Prior to her employment at Rutgers, Dr. Veysey was a Senior Research Associate at Policy Research Associates in Delmar, New York.
