Wednesday of the Third week of Lent

Wednesday of the Third Week of Lent (March 26)

  • Readings:

    • First Reading: Deuteronomy 4:1, 5–9

    • Psalm: 147:12–13, 15–16, 19–20

    • Gospel: Matthew 5:17–19

Reflection
Moses exhorts Israel to observe God’s statutes so that they may live and show wisdom to the nations. Jesus then clarifies that He has come not to abolish the law but to fulfill it. The core of God’s commands is love—love of God and neighbor. This Lent, let the Law shape your heart, not merely through external practice but through deep reverence and fidelity. True observance of God’s Word transforms us into witnesses of His holiness and compassion.
