Thursday of the Third Week of Lent

Thursday of the Third Week of Lent (March 27)

  • Readings:

    • First Reading: Jeremiah 7:23–28

    • Psalm: 95:1–2, 6–7, 8–9

    • Gospel: Luke 11:14–23

Reflection
Jeremiah laments the people’s disobedience—they hear but do not listen. Jesus drives out a demon, and some accuse Him of acting by the power of evil. In both instances, hearts are hardened to the truth of God’s action. This Lent, ask the Holy Spirit to soften your heart and help you recognize the works of God around you. May we not be divided or skeptical, but firmly stand with Christ, gathering rather than scattering.
