Friday of the Third Week of Lent

Friday of the Third Week of Lent (March 28)

  • Readings:

    • First Reading: Hosea 14:2–10

    • Psalm: 81:6c–8a, 8bc–9, 10–11ab, 14, 17

    • Gospel: Mark 12:28–34

Reflection
Hosea proclaims God’s longing to heal His people, urging them to return and find abundant life. In the Gospel, Jesus summarizes the commandments: love God above all and love your neighbor as yourself. Lent is a time to return to the core of our faith: a relationship of love with God that overflows into love of neighbor. Ask God to help you remove whatever hinders you from embracing these two greatest commandments wholeheartedly.
