Reflection
On Good Friday, we participate in the Passion and Death of our Savior. Christ, the suffering Servant, takes on our sins. His death on the Cross is the greatest act of love and obedience. Contemplate:

  • God’s silence before the insults and blows: a silence filled with mercy.

  • Jesus’ total self-giving, who even in His pain offers forgiveness and welcome.

We accompany Christ on this day with contrite and grateful hearts. There is no Mass, but rather the Adoration of the Holy Cross and communion with the crucified Lord.
